There is hope for the poverty-stricken individual who desperately needs eyeglasses, but cannot afford it. The Peninsula Daily News announced on its website earlier this week that the Peninsula Home Fund is providing financially struggling individuals with the opportunity buy new eyeglasses; a precious commodity that many living in the Jefferson and Clallam counties cannot afford.
Since many need prescription eyeglasses to read some work documents or the blackboard during school, this agency is providing spectacles for those who need vision correction. The awesome thing about this agency is that any money you donate to this agency directly benefits the poor individual. Any dollar donated to this fundraiser is sent directly to Olympic Community Action Programs, which is a nonprofit organization that directly assists with poor and elderly folks. The money is not used for administration fees or any other type of fee that would keep the organization financially afloat.
The organization raises revenue by setting up a holiday fundraiser for anyone that has a soft spot for the poor and needy. If you wish to buy a student glasses, feel free to send a check to this organization, who will ensure that struggling academic student will receive the care they need.
