Dolly Parton: I Will Always Love You

Dolly Parton
Do you still remember Dolly Parton? Have you forgotten her classic song “I will always love you” (a two-time U.S. country chart-topper for Parton)? This internationally renowned superstar has contributed countless treasures to the world of music entertainment.

Born in Sevierville, Tennessee, Dolly Parton was the fourth of twelve children of a “dirt poor” family in which her parents struggled to make ends meet and she stood out for her extraordinary music talent. It was this kind of humble family that taught her to pursue the fame and fortune and escape a bitter fate.

By age five, she had been able to compose. At ten, she began to perform on the stage. After graduation from high school, Parton made her decision to be a country-music singer.

It is well-known that Parton has a distinctive soprano voice and “huge” breasts. There are few people knowing that she is good at doing business. This singer has performed numberless classic music and already become an international superstar like Frank Sinatra in her 30-year career. She perhaps reached the apex of her mainstream success in the 1980s. In addition to the impressive achievements she won in singing career, Parton gains worldwide accolades in songwriting. Besides, she played a leading role with Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin in the comedy film 9 to 5 (1980). In her later years, Parton branched out in a new direction. She opened her own theme park called Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, in 1986. The amusement park remains a popular travel destination to this day.(Source: 1980smemories)
